Michael & Heather Jurrens | Lille
Michael and Heather serve with the IAFR team in Lille (northern France) where they seek to promote reconciliation and strengthen a spirit of hospitality in a nation whose relationship with refugees has become strained.

They have witnessed the struggle of people facing an unknown future in war-torn Afghanistan. They have seen the traumatic experience of orphans first-hand through short term missions and more personally through two international adoptions.

Heather has a BA in Child and Family Ministry as well as an Associates Degree in Music from Crown College. She served as a camp counselor and Office Manager for many years at a Bible Camp, worked in various administrative capacities at Mayo Clinic, and most recently served as the editor of a blog for mothers in Rochester, Minnesota. Michael has a BS in Computer Science from Winona State University and has served as a Nursing Assistant, and Senior Analyst Programmer at Mayo Clinic, prior to which he served with the US Army Reserve.
