What:  We are connecting with refugees, organizations and local churches in northern France to raise awareness of the need for supportive engagement among forcibly displaced people.

We do this by organizing opportunities to visit and pray for the situation in places like Calais. We also participate in the annual 14 day "Jungletour" bike ride alongside of other NGOs and participants to raise awareness of undocumented asylum seekers in the region.

Context: France has one of the highest numbers of asylum applications in all of Europe.* In addition to the official numbers, there are many undeclared asylum seekers who are stuck in the country or on their way to other destinations in Europe.

Coming from over 50 different countries, many of these asylum seekers are forcibly displaced. France takes a hardline approach in its immigration policy that increases the vulnerability of asylum seekers and especially the undocumented ones.
